Pascal Bouchard is ideally located in the heart of the Chablis vineyards, a unique terroir in the north of the country.

History of the Pascal Bouchard estate
It was at the beginning of the 20th century when Cléophas Tremblay was one of the first to believe in the great potential and successful future of Chablis. With a lot of sweat and effort he built up his own vineyard with 3.5 hectares in a few years. His son continued to run this winery successfully. When his two daughters inherited the estate, the vineyard already amounted to 25 hectares. Joëlle Tremblay inherited half of the family vineyard and continues to run it today together with her husband Pascal Bouchard, who already owned some vineyards in Chablis. Together, they built up an excellent wine estate. The two sons of Pascal and Joëlle have also dedicated themselves to the family winery and so the next generation is already involved.
Pascal Bouchard- Know-How paired with a unique region
Pascal Bouchard and his family are very attached to the magnificent terroirs of Chablis and Grand Auxerrois. At every stage of production, care is taken to respect the characteristics of this fabulous heritage. All winemaking partners engage in sustainable viticulture with the utmost respect for nature and its balance.

This respect also continues in the winery - "gentle" and careful vinification is carried out here. This makes it possible to produce wines for enjoyment without losing character. These wines are lively and vibrant, expressing the characteristic minerality and finesse of Chablis.
The vineyards of Pascal Bouchard
Chablis and the Grand Auxerrois region are located in the north of Burgundy, two hours from Paris.

Chablis wines are made from a single grape variety, Chardonnay. The local layer of earth was formed 150 million years ago when a sea covered the region. As a result, the soil consists of alternating marl and marly limestone, which is characterized by the rich presence of fossils.
The Grand Auxerrois is made up of a large number of small, very old "vineyards" which are now grouped into four terroirs:
- the Auxerrois,
- the Tonnerrois,
- the Vézelien and
- the Jovinien.
The vines are planted on limestone slopes and produce a wide range of appellations, mainly white wines but also reds.
